hi i am 12 years old . i am part of the skating club here in harbour grace . i love figure skating. if any of your parents know sandra squibb then that is my nan. she grew up in bell island until she was 12 years old. then she moved here in harbour grace. i really like your website keep up the good work . some of you might be able to know me from a competition that we had here in 2008 on febuary 24.i won a bronze medal in the category stage 5 8 years and older. i like skating because i am teaching my best friend kyle peach how to skate . so far is is really good at it .i am in the school called st. francis here in harbour grace . i am 12 years old and in grade 7 . if you also know brianne o'toole and hailey noel then they are in my school to . it is only three of us skaters from that whole school .you can check my skating website by going on to www. skate nfld then on cbnfsc . that is where you will find all the information on my club . you all might of heard about a girl named rebecca pack . she was in my club until the day that everyone heard that she was skating and she then fell on her head and got brain damaged . well i got to go check out my skating website . i might see one of your skater s the next time there is a competition good luck to you all on your holidays from kristen sheppard dec 28.good bye

I want to say what a fantastic job everyone did at interclub Yesterday I am so proud of everyone ,we worked really hard the last few weeks and it really paid off .I would like to send a huge Thank -you out to our Coach Connie for giving us such a positive confidence in our skating abilities =)

To all of our skaters, you guys did a wonderful job skating in the ice show and to all the parents and friends that helped us with the show this year Thank you so much, Also to all the boys that skated with the juniors girls you did a great job and we would like to say Thank you for that, it is so nice to see that the girls have friends that will come and skate with them every year at the ice show (way to go guys).
We hope to see everyone back next season.

NICE JOB!!!!! IT BRINGS BACK A LOT OF MEMORIES. FIGURE SKATING WAS SUCH A HUGE PART OF GROWING UP FOR ME. WE SPENT HOURS AND HOURS IN THE RINK SKATING, LAUGHING AND HAVING FUN. COMPETITIONS WERE FUN BUT THE ICE SHOWS BRING BACK THE BEST MEMORIES. MY DAUGHTERS ARE BOTH IN FIGURE SKATING NOW AND I CAN STILL FEEL THE EXCITMENT OF THE ICE SHOW AS I WATCH THEM IN THEIR VERY OWN SHOW. THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES. HI TO ALL THE GANG FROM THE GOOD OLD DAYS.

Bell Island Figure Skaters with their own website, great stuff! For me its another indication of hometown warmth. Its nice to browse through the pictures and see the new young faces having so much fun and learning so much. I enjoy seeing the familiar features and recalling their parents, but at the same time trying to ignore the fact that I am getting OLD! Great job to everyone involved.

Hi All,
WOW great site.....brings back many memories....figure skating was a big part of my younger days.....I would watch the clock tick at school on Wednesday's......couldn't wait to get on that ice......and then all day Saturday...I just loved it.....even Sunday morning early skate (around competition time) was exciting...for me at least...not my poor Dad or brother who had to get out of bed to drive me to the arena lol lol lol.......to the current club members....please know that you are involved in something much more than figure skating...these days will "shape your lives"...teach you "life lessons" about dedication, hardwork, teamwork, friendship and most of all FUN!!!!! A couple nights ago, my friend and I were chatting about this site......and we laughed about the many "characters' we played in the Ice Shows over the years......we were Mexicans, elephants, dressed in tuxedos...you name it......IT WAS ALL FUN! I'll have to dig out some old pictures......Good Luck to you all.....I hope you enjoy your ice time as much as I did....and that you have many wonderful memories in the years to come.....never forget the people who volunteer their time to make figure skating on Bell Island possible......they make it happen for you! When I think back, I have to thank my wonderful parents as well....they were so supportive, always made certain that I had what I needed for skating...I remember Ice Show time....our house was so exciting.....I felt like a STAR...Mom would have my costumes organized just so......and then the first year I had a solo in the Ice Show my Dad was taking care of the "curtain" that night and he made sure I laughed and relaxed before I stepped out there....Ahhhh good (no GREAT) times.... It was nice to see the link for the Bell Island Figure Skating Club. It brings back lots of good memories for me. I'll never forget my first competition in CBS and bringing home a bronze medal. I'm happy to hear the skaters are doing very well. Congrats! Keep up the good work and have fun.

Great Job on the website Lee! It's great to see someone take on that job. You have done an excellent job with the pictures you have. I hope that more people realize it is there and send you pictures. More pictures will make it even more wonderful. I will do my best over the next couple of weeks and months. I have to look at my discs and get some pictures of Cameron, Kiana and Kaylee - my pride and joys. I might have a couple. HA! HA! Then I will dig through my albums and find some to scan and send you. I hope others will do the same. Once again great job!
